As with most not-for-profit organizations, our ministry depends entirely on the financial generosity and commitment of our members and friends. From volunteers to building maintenance and improvement, to staff, utilities, and ministry programs, we plan according to the means God provides us each year.

First United Church is a Religious Corporation under the laws of the State of New York, and, therefore, designated a 503(c) corporation. Donations are tax deductible.
Receipts will be issued for all in-kind gifts. Financial contributions will be listed in a statement issued at the end of each calendar year (usually January of the following year).
Because our needs vary from year to year, we ask for non-designated contributions. However, if you feel a certain calling from God to designate your funds for a certain purpose, we encourage you to contact the pastor to discuss your plans. We make every effort to accommodate designated gifts.
Please note that gifts of property or investments will be liquidated by the session (board of elders) unless the elders determine a need for the gifts to further the ministry of the church. Gifts in kind (other material gifts) will be either used by the church if needed, or liquidated as is possible.
Consider including First United Church in your will or trust. End-of-life contributions can be a great way to continue your legacy of supporting God's ministry. Please contact the pastor to discuss your plans.
First United Church maintains an ongoing endowment held through the New Covenant Funds of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The endowment is invested and gives the church an ongoing source of income in the form of dividends.
Contributing to the First United Church endowment is a wonderful way to leave a lasting legacy to the ministry of First United Church. Please contact the pastor for instructions if you wish to contribute to our endowment, especially if you plan to make an after death contribution.
